| Audit Commission A very impressive site that somehow manages to make a subject as dry and boring as the financial health of public bodies interesting and relevant. Fullmarks. www.audit-commission.gov.uk Competition Commission A straightforward and useful reference site that has a good search facility and provides an interesting read. www.mmc.gov.uk Offer A lazy site that is unlikely to be of any practical use to anyone with a genuine enquiry and which causes you to worry about the government's technical know-how. www.open.gov.uk/offer Office of Fair Trading Written in clear, concise English, the site is easily navigated and is a great example of how websites can be used to benefit the taxpaying man in the street. www.oft.gov.uk Office of the Rail Regulator A slapdash, misinformed and bureaucratic website. Let's hope it gets things running smoothly soon. www.rail-reg.gov.uk Ofgas Another poor government site which fails to give you more than the basics. www.ofgas.gov.uk Oftel All in all an impressive site in terms of the information available but because it isn't a commercial enterprise there isn't the style of most big web sites. www.oftel.co.uk Ofwat A good site in terms of what it contains, but can you really be bothered to try to find what you're looking for? www.open.gov.uk/ofwat |
