It has an online type museum and links to other related design sites that will keep you busy for minutes. www.slipnet.net/~graphion Fontface Fontface is a fun site that allows you to swap and post your favourite fonts online. This gives you the chance to collect more groovy fonts for your own collections. www.fontface.com Le Louvre See the 'Mona Lisa' in the comfort of your own home. This is one of the best interactive web sites we've seen. It is packed full of information and has an excellent gallery. Top of the arts online and off. www.smartweb.fr/louvre Museum of Photography The Museum of Photography is an inspirational site for all those budding photographers. It has an outstanding exhibition of photographs, all available to view at the touch of a button. www.photographymuseum.com Museum of Photographic Art This is another excellent site for photography with exhibitions from some of the most celebrated photographers in the history of the medium. Well worth a look. www.mopa.org/ Crayola Not just for kids, this has to be one of the most contemporary galleries online. A refreshing site from young artists who specialise in wax crayons. www.crayola-europe.com Vision of Art A very interesting site that covers 'the meaning of art', together with a collection of pictures and reviews of some of the most renowned artists of our time. www.fortunecity.com/victorian/picasso/500 The Art Newspaper A very formal art site that offers the latest in art news together with a soon to be opened archive that will keep you well informed of past and current art news. www.theartnewspaper.com Gallery of Photography This is a great site to look for photographers and their work. The Gallery of Photography exhibits work from photographers such as Robert Mapplethorpe. www.irish-photography.com British Journal of Photography Online version of the world's oldest photography magazine. The printed version has been around since 1854, so they must be doing something right. New visitors need to sign up to the site, but luckily it's free. www.bjphoto.demon.co.uk |
